Where do you live?
I live in Silverdale Washington right across the water from Seattle. We are military so it won't be a permanent home, but it's my favorite place we've been so far!
How long have you been scrapbooking and how did you start? My very first album I made was my wedding album 9 years ago, then I got busy with life and stopped!! I just recently picked it back up in January. After having my daughter I realized I needed to document my kids' childhood memories. I wanted them to see the love I have for them through my eyes. A lot changed in those 9 years! I had no idea what mist was or Project Life, but I did some research and fell back in love quickly.
What are 5 of your favourite things to use on a layout?
My 5 favorite things to use on a layout are mist, wood veneer, patterned paper, stickers, and some kind of tag or die cut piece.
What is your biggest challenge when it comes to scrapping?
My biggest challenge with scrap booking is finding the time to do it! I'm sure a lot of crafters can relate. I do my work in stages for that very reason. I will pick out my photos and paper and then have to stop and come back to it later.
Do you have a favourite technique?
I don't know if I can choose just one favorite technique! I am loving gesso and water colors right now and I love to layer pieces and tuck things behind each other.
I'm inspired by every Garden Girl at Twopeas! They are all amazing, but I am drawn to the more artistic ladies, Lilith Eeckels, Celine Navarro and Wilna Furstenberg.
Tell us a little about your life in general?
I am a very blessed mom to two wonderful children! We love to travel and I love photography so naturally scrapbooking fits in perfect! We are very grateful for the life we have, my husband battled cancer 2 years ago so we are just happy to be together! Thankfully it has stayed away and he is back on his Submarine doing what he loves!
What makes you happy?
Life makes me happy! I've learned to love the little things and appreciate all we have.If you would like to see more of Tricia's work you can visit her blog, Made With Love.
Thanks so much for taking the time to tell us about yourself and you scrapping Tricia.
